Nippers, Chat & Tea
NCT Playtime has been re-launched as "Nippers, Chat & Tea" - it's a playgroup for bumps, crawlers & pre-schoolers alike.
Open every Friday from 2:00pm until 3:30pm at Pages Park Pavilion. The cost is £1.50 per session, per family, plus an initial £1.50 registration fee.
Everybody is welcome, members and non-members alike.

Wednesday 18th

This year’s annual ‘picnic’ organised by the Pre-School Learning Alliance is planned for Wednesday 18th June, from 10am-2pm. (There is an alternative date of 25th June if rain tries to disrupt our plans).
The ‘picnic’ takes place at Parsons Close recreation ground, behind the town Post Office, by the new skateboard park, and is a special community event for the town’s pre-schoolers. Many hundreds of toddlers, babies, parents, child-minders and grandparents meet - generally in bright sunshine – to enjoy a day of fun.
There are stalls, a bouncy castle, baby animals to cuddle, and other exciting events! Many of the pre-schools will be there, so check them out too. All this AND the playground and paddling pool!
Fingers crossed for good weather – don’t forget a picnic and some suncream!
Leighton Buzzard NCT branch will have a feeding/changing tent at this annual local event. C ome along & visit us!

First Aid Courses
First Aid for Babies and Toddlers Courses
Have you ever wondered how you would cope in an emergency? What would you do if your baby or toddler stopped breathing, or choked?
Leighton Buzzard & District NCT group is running two
Baby and Toddler First Aid courses this
spring, run by a paramedic. The courses cover the new guidelines for
administering CPR to a baby/toddler, as well as what to do in the event of
choking, falls, burns, road accidents, accidents in water, etc
.
The first course, running on Monday 21st April 2008,
is fully booked, but an additional course will be held in May, date to be
confirmed.
